As many of you already know, we are busy (this is us being busy) caretaking the Johnson Creek Airport, an Idaho backcountry airport in the Boise National Forests. From time to time we will try to download some current pictures so you can see what is going on.

This is the airport in July, I believe in 2001 or 2002. The picture on the left is to the south, the other to the north. We didn't have many campers at this time.

Proof that there are furry little bears in the forest. Actually this bear is a long way away and only looks small.
The local phone company and internet service have combined to install a WebCam on the field. Pilots can now (hopefully!) see the wind sock, the take off area, the sky to the south and whether the south side of the field is busy. Click on the link below to view the field in real time for yourself.

This picture was taken at dusk or dark thirty so details are not very clear. However, I will try to update it now and then.
Happy flying everyone and hope to see you there. I would love to receive a note from you now and then but no forwards please.
